Students from MSI Inter College who achieved outstanding results in their high school and intermediate board exams were honored in the college auditorium. The chief guest at the event was Mr. Alam Badi Azmi, five-time MLA from Nizamabad (Azamgarh).

Alam Badi has a long association with this college. His father, Mr. Badi-uz-Zaman, was a teacher of Arabic and Urdu here and was very active. Alam Badi, who passed the high school exam in 1950, was presented with the Old Boy medal by the college principal.

He entered politics with Abdul Jalil Faridi's All India Muslim Majlis. Later, he joined the Samajwadi Party and served as an MLA five times. He still holds the position. He is an example of simplicity and honesty. He hails from Allama Shibli Nomani's Diyar Bindwal and is influenced by Maulana Mujibullah Nadvi, the founder and director of Jamia Rashad. He is an engineer and has also worked in Saudi Arabia. He is passionate about education.

Addressing the students, he said, "I have been in the Assembly for 30 years and have seen that India is great; there is no need to be discouraged." Pointing to the toppers, he urged the new students to study hard like them and become IAS, IPS, doctors, lawyers, and engineers. The country needs you very much. He became emotional when he mentioned his former principal, Chhote Khan, and embraced his grandson, Hafizul Hasan, for a long time on stage. He said, "He was an excellent principal." He was delighted to see the college's labs and other developments and congratulated Manager Mehboob Saeed Haris and Principal Mukhtar Ahmed for taking such good care of the nation's and community's heritage.

His father, Maulana Badi-ul-Uzzaman, was a very active teacher in his time. He was always at the forefront of religious and academic activities and provided proper guidance to the students. He was fondly remembered by the students. After retiring, he was elected Nazim-e-Aala of Madrasa-ul-Islah Sarai-e-Mir, Azamgarh, and restored excellent governance. Scholar Badi-ul-Uzzaman gifted a book titled "Sukhvarane Azamgarh" to the college library, which contained details about his father, Badi-ul-Uzzaman Sahib, as well as others.

Present on stage were special guest Mohsin Khan (former Member of the Assembly), presiding Dr. Hafiz Mirza Rafiullah Beg, Deputy Manager Hasan Jamal alias Babu Bhai, Corporator Zia-ul-Islam, and other prominent figures from the city. The announcer was Farrukh Jamal, a renowned poet and Nazim of Mushairas.

In his speech, Alam Badi said, "When I read that our government (peace be upon him) has made even a single penny of haram food haram, from that day on I renounced haram wealth and made honesty and simplicity my ideals."

He was deeply influenced by Pandit Nehru and, after learning much from Maulana Azad's book "India Wins Freedom," he entered practical politics.

The session was attended by prominent figures from the city, teachers, college staff, students' parents, and a large number of students.
