An important meeting of the Indian Journalist Association was held in a dignified atmosphere at the National Administrative Office, Ghazi Rauza Tiraha, Dr. Aziz Ahmed Road, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The meeting was chaired by National President Seraj Ahmed Qureshi and conducted efficiently by National Organization Secretary Akhilesh Dhar Dwivedi.
Various office bearers and active members of the organization were present at the meeting, where serious discussions were held on several important issues related to the interests, safety, and strengthening of journalists.
The meeting unanimously decided to accelerate the membership drive for the new session of the organization. Emphasis was placed on connecting as many journalists as possible to the organization and providing a strong platform for their voices. The office bearers stated that only a strong organization can protect the rights of journalists.
Deep concern was expressed at the meeting over the incidents of harassment of journalists. It was decided that protests would be held at each district headquarters and memorandums would be submitted to the concerned administrative officials to demand the safety and respect of journalists.
During the meeting, various issues faced by journalists, such as lack of security, a lack of a fair working environment, lack of administrative support, and the need for legal protection, were discussed.
All these topics were discussed in detail, and emphasis was placed on developing concrete strategies to address them.
A detailed review of the work done so far by the Indian Journalists Association was presented at the meeting. Officials shared their views on the organization's achievements, challenges, and future plans. Special emphasis was placed on making the organization more active, effective, and public-friendly.
The meeting also discussed in detail the proposed International Journalists' Awards Ceremony and General Assembly in Lucknow. The formation of various committees and the determination of responsibilities were considered to ensure this event was a grand success.
The objective of this program is to bring together journalists from India and abroad and to honor those who have achieved outstanding work in the field of journalism.
Speakers at the meeting highlighted the dignity of current journalism, its activities, and its importance, emphasizing that journalism is the fourth pillar of democracy. It is the duty of every journalist to maintain its impartiality, integrity, and independence.
Finally, National President Seraj Ahmad Quraishi called upon all members to strengthen the organization, continue to fight for the protection of journalists' rights, and move forward unitedly.
The meeting was successfully concluded by Akhileshwar Dhar Dwivedi, who was conducting the meeting, expressing his gratitude to all present members.
This meeting proved to be extremely important in protecting the interests of journalists, expanding the organization, and determining its future direction. The decisions taken in it will strengthen the rights of journalists in the future.
The meeting was mainly attended by Divisional President Rafi Ahmed, District Secretary Satish Chandra, Mohammad Azam, Sunil Mani Tripathi, Naved Alam, Zuber Alam, Dr. Ateeq Ahmad, Anshul Verma, Mohammad Ahmed Khan, and other journalists.
