The Indian Journalist Association and all the journalist association officials and district presidents jointly meet with Additional Superintendent of Police Ayush Nopani and demanded action against those abusing and threatening journalists on social media. They stated that two days ago, some journalists ran a news story about Deepak Borhade, who considers himself a leader of the Dhangar community. A young man named Krishna Gayke responded to the news story, stating that several revelations had been made against Deepak Borhade, who considers himself a leader of the Dhangar community. Following the news story, Deepak Borhade resorted to abuse and threats of revenge on social media and posted derogatory posts about all journalists on Facebook. Therefore, a case should be filed against Deepak Borhade's supporters and the Facebook page owned by Deepak Borhade. Making this demand, the journalists submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police and the Jalna Cyber Police, Kadim Jalna Police Station, demanding that a case be immediately registered under the Journalists Self-Protection Act. The police responded positively and assured them of an investigation and filing a case.
On this occasion, journalists including Indian Journalist Association Jalna District President Amer Khan, Press Council of Maharashtra Jalna District President Deepak Shelke, Maharashtra State Marathi Journalists Association Jalna District President Achyut More, Javed Khan, Yogesh Kakphale, Sunil Bharti, Sachin Surve, Suhas Vaidya, Santosh Bhutekar, Sheikh Salim, Vijay Sali, Basit Baig, Rahul Mule, Gaurav Sali, Nazim Maniyar, Tarang Kamble, Sonaji Jogdande, Akash Mane, Devchand Sawre, etc. were present.
