Immediate action must be taken against those who attacked the journalist - Devanand Sinha

Provide security to journalists, otherwise there will be agitation - Madhu Sinha

Jharkhand State President of Indian Journalist Association Devanand Sinha has strongly condemned the misbehavior with Ranchi Press Club General Secretary Amarkant and the murderous attack on JJA Treasurer Sanjeet Kumar.

He said that misbehaving with journalists and attacking them with sticks in the presence of police is highly condemnable. Mr. Sinha has demanded the immediate arrest of the accused.

He has requested the police-administration to take immediate action against the accused in the case of misbehavior with journalists.

National Secretary of Indian Journalist Association, Women's Wing Madhu Sinha has said that the government should provide proper security to the journalists, otherwise all the journalist organizations in the state will be forced to unite and protest.

State Secretary Jharkhand Vijay Dutt Pintu said that the law and order in the state has become so weak that journalists are being attacked every day, we demand proper action against the culprits from the government.

At the same time, Ranchi District President Vipin Kumar Singh said that the attack on journalists is a direct attack on democracy, action should be taken against the culprits as soon as possible.

On this occasion, senior journalists Naval Kishore Singh, Devanand Sinha, Vijay Dutt Pintu, Madhu Sinha, Vipin Kumar Singh, Rafi Sami, Atif Khan, Mohd. Salman Khan, Sujit Sinha, Kajal Mehta, and other journalist brothers also strongly condemned this incident.
